JSANO Are you ready to expand your cooking repertoire? Do you want to break out of your cooking rut and impress your family and friends with your culinary creations? Do you want to make new dishes and experiment with new flavours?
Join Alex and Laurie for an introduction to foods and culinary traditions from around the world. Each class will focus on the cuisine of a different area of the world and include a short lesson on the regional ingredients and cooking methods used. This will focus on the food philosophy of the country or region, the main ingredients used in the cuisine, and traditional cooking tools and techniques. Participants will then have the chance to apply their new knowledge by making a variety of recipes from the region of the day with guidance and support from the instructors. Each day a full traditional menu, including appetizer, main course and dessert will be prepared. Each class will end with participants having a chance to sample all of the dishes. Participants will be provided with a complete set of recipes for all dishes made during the class.
