So you want to be a rock star? Shred Academy is the guitar program that Brian Roy created and teaches from his home, it has been step one for aspiring rock stars in K.L for the past nine years. He can teach you everything you need to take you from nursery rhymes to epic shred legend, but even if your goals are a little more modest Brian can help you attain them.

He began playing guitar his first year of high school in an attempt to achieve a high level of what he calls “awesomeness”. Obsessed with improving his playing he sought out every teacher, watched every instructional video, and read every theory book available to him. He spent his entire high school career studying, it just wasn’t for class. Brian not only focussed his attention on playing but also spent time studying setups, believing that if a guitar isn’t playing properly it is almost impossible to learn or perform up to ones potential.

This will be his first year teaching at JSANO and he is very excited to help his students realize their dreams in music, however rock star or campfire they may be.
